Life with Water Dogs hasen't always been without complications but rewarding. Many laughs has been laughed and also some tears shed. Tried old things, learned some new things. Grown and made friends along the way. And the best part is, that the journey has only just begun!
Behind The Carelnovan Kennel You'll find me a 28 years old dog hobbyist, my husbind, a male Spanish Water Dog Hugo and two female Barbets Doris and Deli. We live in Joensuu in North Carelia, Finland.
Animals but dogs in particular have always been important to me. My very first experience with dogs I got as a toddler. We had few West Higland White Terriers at home. Ever since dogs have been a big part of my life, even though Water Dogs were the ones that finally won my heart.
Water Dogs has become an essential part of my life. Inspired by them I have discovered many new hobbies and activities, and down that road I also have remained.
In addition to hobbies with all my three dogs, I act as a chair person of North-Carelian Retrieverdogs Associations obedience committee, as well as a field trainer and a web master. I am a member secretary of Water Rescue Dogs of Joensuu Region (JoVe ry), a member of Barbet Club Finlands Board of Directors and act as a web master as well as a regional contact person of Water Dogs Club of Finland. So I spend most of my freetime in various dog activities.
I want to develop myself not only as a trainer for my own dogs, but also as a trainer for the others. I participate in different kinds of training sessions and lectures when ever it's possible. My biggest intrests are dogs training, natural feeding and heredity in breeding.
In my breeding the health and wellbeing of the dogs is always my number one priority. When I chooce the combination for breeding, the main things that I appreciate are good character and health. My goal in breeding is healthy and vibrant dogs that meet the breed standard.
Puppies grow in our home as a part of our family's everyday life, getting used to people and other dogs. Each puppy receives appropriate registration papers and treatment guidelines in addition to lifetime support. This means that my job as a breeder continues even after the puppy grows up. If necessary I'll always help the dogs new owner in questions or problems concerning training, feeding or other treatment-related issues. I'm more than happy to hear from the dogs that I have bred.
As a breeder I have signed Finnish Kennel Clubs Breeder's Code of Ethics.
I hope you enjoy your visit in our homepages!
